Free Your Artist

When you follow your bliss... doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors; and where there wouldn't be a door for anyone else.

   —Joseph Campbell

Ah, the power of touch. The essence of human contact—the warmth of a hand or a body. Babies languish without touch and social scientists concur that people need four hugs a day for survival and eight for maintenance....

The Rescuing Hug, instinct saved a life (music and scroll down until you see the babies).

Creativity Exercise

Without looking, reach into a drawer and touch several objects...what is their texture, their shape, their function? How vital is one item to your life? How long could you live without using it? Create a scene including the object or making the item a metaphor for some aspect of your life or philosophy.

Affirmation

I experience anew the many textures of my life and I treasure each as it sparks my creativity.
