Free Your Artist

"Work while you have the light. You are responsible for the talent that has been entrusted to you."

– Henri-Frederic Amiel

Creativity Exercise - March 2007

Light is incredible, something artists of all disciplines include in their work, lighting for films, for dancers, shining off muscle or curve, for pottery heated in a fiery kiln. For writers..."It was a dark and stormy night..."

So explore light in your next work. How do you see it? A shaft of sunlight? The light at the end of a tunnel (with or without oncoming train)? Is it yellow, blue, gray? How about turquoise like looking at the sun from under tropical waters? Is it blinding off snow, sparkling on raindrops? Are YOU light?

Affirmation

I accept light into my life, a source of warmth, renewal, and abundant energy.
