"Creativity is our true nature; blocks are an unnatural thwarting of a process at once as normal and as miraculous as the blossoming of a flower at the end of a slender green stem."

Creativity Exercise - Flowers

What image came to mind when you read that? An arrangement of roses, like in Heart Duel? Orchids? Inside or outside? A whole garden or meadow?

What was your emotional reaction? Pleasure? Irritation at allergies? Grief from a recent funeral?

All art should include great emotion and elicit the same. So use that emotion to create your piece for this month. Or create a piece with a flower. Or create a flower! I did this in Heart Thief at the request of a contest winner. She wanted a flower named after her and her sons An'Alcha. It turned out to be a passion flower with a heady scent and trumpet-like.

So what would a flower you created be like?

Affirmation

I know the creative process is like a seed unfurling, growing, a flower budding, then blooming, rest, and then new flowers blossom. I will enjoy each stage.
