It's February, and though the winter here in Denver hasn't been bad (we are in a drought), I want to get away. So the quotes and exercises are about travel.

With the internet there is virtual travel for those of us who can't get away. It's NOT the same as being there and experiencing the smells and sights and hearing a different language you can't understand against your ears, but internet travel will give you a taste of what might be.
So...
What was a special place you visited in your life? It could be across the city or the world. Have you incorporated that place and its feeling in your work? Do one piece that reflects this place.
OR
Surf randomly (google "travel" and "photo" go to the sixth site, choose the sixth photo, mine was a fruit market in Indonesia) and use that as a basis for your piece.
